Susan Disney Lord, Owner

A true Angelino, Susan has kept the beat in Los Angeles with her handsome husband, five beautiful children and a vibrant restaurant. She purchased the Bel Air Bar & Grill in 2007 and transformed it into The Bel-Air, a colorful, refreshing destination which serves as an homage to historic Bel-Air. Susan is the consummate hostess and a champion of fair and compassionate management, social justice, sustainable living, and helping marginalized populations. Susan also serves on the board of  Alzheimer’s Greater Los Angeles and as Chairman of the Board of her family’s foundation. When she gets a break, you can find her sailing, knitting, or cooking.

Larry Nicola, Executive Chef and Partner

Larry has landed at The Bel-Air after his 19-year run at the famed Nic’s Beverly Hills. “I’m extremely happy to be working alongside my longtime friend and fellow restauranteur Susan Lord.  I am the ‘grind it out guy’ who collaborates on the menu, branding and art. As I look at this location, I see it as the connection between the West Side and The Valley. The Sepulveda Pass is the main artery which connects our beautiful restaurant, event space and The Shack to the city and the Valley.
