Susan Lord, Owner

An original Valley Girl,  Susan has moved over to the Westside to spend her life with her handsome husband and five beautiful and mostly grown offspring.  In 2007 Susan bought the iconic Bel Air Bar + Grill.  Now re-branded as The Bel-Air Restaurant, Susan and her team serve up tasty and healthy food to the neighbors in historic Bel-Air and the many neighborhoods close by.   Susan is a champion of fair and compassionate management, social justice and sustainable living. Susan is Vice-Chair on the board of Alzheimer’s Greater Los Angeles, Chairperson of the Board of Cal Arts CAP Council,  and as Chairperson of the Board of her family’s foundation. When she gets a break, you can find her at home with her family, knitting, or sailing out on Santa Monica Bay.

Chef Gonzalo Morales

Gonzalo began working at Bel Air Bar + Grill when it first opening in 1997, continued on through its next iteration as The Bel-Air, and is still with us cooking away, supporting The Shack and managing all purchasing and kitchen staff.  I don’t know what we would do without him.  True story.
